Honey Womb Birth Preparation

  • 2687 Penrith Ave. Cumberland, BC Canada (map)

Our Honey Womb Childbirth Education is packed with info while we also want to bring awareness back to the roots of childbirth education. Discover different resources and tools that will connect you to your primal potential and ideal birth vision. We’ll explore embodied comfort measures using breathwork, and practices from kundalini yoga, hypnobirthing and qi gong traditions.

Meditation and yoga mudras include:

  • Meditation for connection to your baby

  • Meditation for connection to your family

  • Meditation for unlocking hidden power

  • Meditation for commitment

  • Meditation for banishing fear

  • Meditation for increasing intuition

We will explore the following information:

Strategies for managing fear and pain

Pregnancy-induced shifts that boost intuition

How your emotions influence the chemical components that affect your body’s freedom to soften, open and feel calm (mind-body/body-mind connection)

Your unique relationship to triggers and exploration of emotional and physical reactions and practical management options

Participants will each create a birth vision board for themselves based on the holistic stages and needs of birth

How your environment and embodied wisdom work together for what you vision in your ideal birth outcome:

The primal brain versus the neocortex function is influenced by factors such as light, language, temperature, and observation. This dynamic interplay can be either bolstered or hindered by environmental conditions, birth team dynamics, and other variables. The primal brain is responsible for hormone regulation, which significantly impacts cognitive functions. This functionality can be augmented through the activation of deeper brainwave patterns, including alpha, theta, and delta waves. This intricate relationship is sometimes referred to as the "labor switch" or "labor land."

How your approach to pain impacts your emotional wellness.

How tension can manifest as pain within the fear-tension-pain cycle. The intricate hormonal interaction between the birthing person and the baby involves various hormones such as OXYTOCIN, melatonin, catecholamines, endorphins, adrenaline, nor-adrenaline, relaxin, prolactin, and more. These hormones are influenced by the environment and can be altered by interventions. We’ll also explore what interventions mean in terms of mammalian brain function and the need to be “unobserved” during childbirth.

How movement and action help release stress hormones, aiding in healing and coping.

How non-stress hormones play a crucial role in the Fetal Ejection Reflex, promote bonding, and support breastfeeding.

Physical wellness, movement and stretching for birth:

Uterus, pelvis, tendons, ligaments, and tissues play key roles in the transformative birth process, which includes the baby's physiology. Learn about the power of the womb, birth reflexes, the baby’s position, alignment, pelvic floor/core tone, nutrition, microbiome, hydration, health, movement as well as physical comfort measures during the last trimester of pregnancy as well as the different stages of the birth process.

The goal of this class is to help you feel more confident and empowered before you meet your baby. Feeling informed while having fun in an inclusive learning environment to all birth choices and outcomes is what we offer in our beautiful indoor space.
