We welcome birth and womb care traditions

We partner with you, dear parent(s) and/or anticipating parent(s), to make informed decisions throughout your reproductive journey.

We help you forge your unique parenthood path, while supporting you in your resourcefulness and power to breathe life into your chosen, ever evolving visions. We are your birth story cheerleaders.

We recognize and apply the healing power of ritual, art, ceremony, non-violent communication, and interconnection to self + the land throughout our journey with you.

We are a growing team of doulas, educators, photographers and peer counsellors.

Birthed on 02/02/2024, our goal for Honey Womb is to soon be the #1 go to agency for doulas, postpartum specialists and educational services for women in the many diverse and remote communities in Western Canada.

Our Values

We interweave grassroots healing and nurture positive change in our communities. By listening to people's needs and tapping into intuition and creativity, we invest in intergenerational, anti-oppressive connections. We view the lifecycle journey of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum as transformative, and believe it should be free from trauma, inequity, and violence. We celebrate the female body in creation and sustainability while restoring balance to our environment. Valuing traditional knowledge, we focus on informed consent, culturally appropriate care, and community connection. Our training is rooted in anti-oppressive and culturally affirming support, and we aim to share this through trainings and team building. We believe strong social and family networks thrive on diverse relationships with the land and each other.

How we envision diversity in relationships as contributing to our collective growth:

  • Relationships provide a strong support system that encourages both social and personal responsibility.

  • Interacting with different people exposes us to diverse viewpoints, broadening our understanding of the world.

  • Building strong connections requires understanding and responding to the emotions of others, fostering empathy.

  • Effective relationships demand clear and open communication, enhancing our ability to express ourselves.

  • Resolving conflicts and repairing are essential parts of evolving and co-creating. Overcoming challenges together strengthens our resilience and solution-fostering skills.
